Over the course of 21 years, Laurin International, Inc. has evolved from an apprenticeship to a thriving business.

James E. Laurin began his lifetime career quest at a marine canvas manufacturing company in St. Cloud, Minnesota. There, he discovered his affinity for pattern making and learned the trade as an apprentice. After spending years developing his craft, Laurin went out on his own.

Laurin Canvas Co. was born in 1982. With support from his wife Sharon and help from one other employee, Jim Laurin began to develop their philosophy and their product line.

Today, the success of Laurin International, Inc. comes from Laurin's need to derive a high level of personal satisfaction and pride from what they do. Based on the fact that their business will always consist of small town people who value hard work and appreciate history, Laurin keeps his business honest and sincere.
